and the renting of two (2) rooms is a permitted use as per the City of
Salem Zoning Ordinance Article III, Section 5-2, Permitted Uses. Be

complaints.

Dear Ms. Donaghue:
This office has receive a complaint alleging the renting of a third
apartment at the above referenced property. The records on file in this
department indicate this property as being a two family dwelling located in
a Residential Two Family (R-2) District. It is a violation of the City of
Salem Zoning Ordinance to convert to a three family in a two family
district without approval of the Zoning Board of Appeal.
Please contact this office upon receipt of this letter so we can
resolve this situation. Failure to comply could result in the appropriate
legal action being taken.
