It should be clear cut to the tenant that the structure must be removed within a few days. If it is not, I shall take action to have it taken down. Thank you for your advice on this matter. Sincerely, Joseph Zavalia, landlord 1215 Webster Street Hanover, MA 02339 781.924.1870 Enclosure: 1 June 17, 2013 Mandy-Lee Harpole 15 Prescott Street Salem, MA 019710 v` o Hello Mandy, As you know I have received a letter from the City of Salem, MA Building Commissioner/Director of Inspectional Services, Mr.Thomas St.Pierre regarding two complaints at the property you rent at 15 Prescott Street,Salem. I have also enclosed a copy of the letter in this mailing. The letter(dated May 30, 2013) states that City received the complaints which include a pool that was constructed in the rear yard and a shed that was built and attached to the right side of the porch. Neither of these had permits pulled for them and they are in violation of the Salem Zoning Ordinances. The shed has been described as an eyesore and needs to be removed immediately. I shared that letter with you and Mike via email on Sunday,June 6, 2013 and we discussed the issue over the phone several times. You have since removed the pool, but the shed remains. Since 1 am faced with Municipal Code tickets and further enforcement actions I must insist that you remove the shed immediately. If you do not remove the shed within a reasonable amount of time I shall be forced to hire someone to de-construct it and have it removed and charge you with the expense. I would not like to be fined by the City. It makes more sense for you to take it down and dispose of it. Please do so as soon as possible and report back to me. If not done within a few days, I shall have to take action. Sincerely JOSEPH ZAVALIA.
