The above listed property has been found to be in violation of the following State
Codes and/or City Ordinances:
The creation of an illegal apartment is a Violation of the State Building Code,
780 CMR, Section 118; which states that it unlawful to change, alter, enlarge,
or change the use of a structure in conflict with any provisions of the State
Building Code.
You are hereby Ordered to Cease and Desist use of this basement area as a
dwelling unit or part of a dwelling unit, immediately. You are also Ordered
to Remove all components of this illegal dwelling unit and return this space
to a basement (unoccupied) space. Proper permitting is required for this
work as well as all required inspections.
Said violations must begin to be corrected, repaired, and/or brought into compliance
within 2 days of your receipt of this notice. Failure to do so may result in further actions
being brought against you, up to and including the filing of complaints at District Court.
