We currently have a written complaint confirming the rental of individual rooms. The
complaint also references numerous building, health, electrical and fire code violations.
Due to the seriousness of this matter and per the State Building Code 780 CMR Section
115 and inspection is required. The inspection is scheduled for Friday November 19,
2004 at 1:00 all areas of the building need to be available. Failure to comply with this
order will result in a complaint being filed in District Court.

Dear Mr. Blake:
This Department as well as the Salem Police Department has received numerous
complaints regarding your property at Plymouth Street.
I sent a letter back in January of 2000 regarding 7 Plymouth Street being used as a
rooming house and we received no reply.
We currently have an affidavit from a tenant at 7 Plymouth Street confirming the fact that
he is renting an individual room.
Ms. Sygowski, has been running a rooming house at least on her half of the building for a
number of years.
We also have a receipt bearing what appears to be your signature dated 11/3/04.
You are directed to cease and desist renting rooms at 7-9 Plymouth Street. You are also
directed to supply this Department with a list of current tenants. Furthermore, 9
Plymouth Street is not be rented or occupied until all code problems are corrected and a
Certificate of Inspection is received from both the Health Department and the Fire
Department.
Failure to comply with these orders will result in a complaint being filed in Salem
District Court.

To be as brief as possible, I've been getting "Serious Static" concerning
the Apartment #9 heating system from:
1. *Keyspan Boiler Installation Inspectors.
2. *Possible City Building Code Violations.
3. *Health Department: No heat to the rental unit.
*TO BE CORRECTED.
The Apartment #9 Burnham Boiler feeder gas line must be connected and the
unit activated.
Bill Hodgkins, now, has a rental prospect interested in the Apartment.
NOTE: Thanks for the Apartment #9-to-Apartment #7 Hot Water
Conversion.
