This Department has received and investigated complaints that your property is being
used as a rooming house. City of Salem restricts more than three unrelated individuals
living in one unit. Furthermore a rooming house would require a License and have
sprinkler requirements.
Per the State Building Code 780 CMR, section 115.6, you are directed to contact this
office within 10 days upon receipt of this letter to arrange for an inspection of the
property. Please have all areas available for inspection.
If you feel you are aggrieved by this order, your appeal is through the Board of Building
Regulations and Standards in Boston.
