It was brought to my attention that a carport was being constructed on
the above referenced property and no permits had been issued. It would
also require action of the Salem Zoning Board of Appeal to allow said
carport to remain where it is currently located as it is too close to the
property line. I spoke with you and you assured me this situation would be
corrected. To date nothing has been done.
You are hereby requested to contact this office upon receipt of this
notice. Failure to comply will result in the appropriate legal action
being taken.

I have discussed the following with Mr. Frank, and he
agrees.
As we discussed this morning on the telephone:
1. You will withdraw your application for criminal
complaints against Mr. Frank for alleged violations of the state
building code in connection with the carport structure at his
residence at 22 Planters Street, Salem.
2. Mr. Frank will demolish the structure within thirty
days of tomorrow, or by May 15 , 1994.

Dear Mr. Jennings,
I telephoned you yesterday but you were out of your office.
I was told I could reach you between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
today, but when I called as instructed I was told you were out
for the day.
Mr. Frank has decided to remove the structure at 22 Planters
Street for which you indicated that he needed a building permit,
and not to seek Board of Appeal approval for it. Therefore, I am
asking that you cancel your application for a complaint against
him, scheduled to be heard at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 14,
1994, and allow him 45 days to remove the structure.
Please let me know if you will agree to this request at your
earliest convenience. I an. anxious net to appear at Salem
District Court if it is not necessary.
