RE: 4 Planters Street Foundation
Dear Mr. Nabozny;
Thank you for allowing me to inspect the basement of your building at the above address.
Having seen the recent repairs to the foundation wall, I am of the opinion that the
foundation is in a safe condition and not in any immediate danger of failure.
As I mentioned to you, however, the existing steel jacks and wood posts currently
supporting the floor framing are not code-conforming and should be replaced with tally
columns on adequate concrete footings. A building permit and inspections by this
Department will be required for that work.

Dear Property Owner;
The above referenced property has come to the attention of this department for the
following reason(s):
A report has been made to this office that there has been a structural failure to
the foundation wall of 4 Planters St.. For this reason an inspection must be conducted to
assure compliance with the code and city ordinance.
Under the provisions of 780 CMR, Section 115.6, the State Building Code, access
to this property must be granted for the purposes of this inspection. Please call this office
upon receipt of this letter to schedule this required inspection.
This inspection must be completed on or before December 5, 2010.
Failure to respond to this notification will be construed as non- compliance, and as such an
Administrative Search Warrant will be sought, so as to allow the lawful inspection of this
property.
