Salem Health Department 9 North Street Salem, MA 01970 Re: Salem Business Park - Industrial Condominium Building Dear Mr. Blenkhorn: At the Board of Health's April 11 , 1989 meeting, the Board requested that the trash removal details be revised. Two alternatives were presented: first, to substitute exterior dumpsters with interior trash compactors; and second, to relocate and screen the dumpsters next to the rear of the building. Trash compactors may not be desired or necessary by future tenants of this building; consequently we could lose prospective companies if they are required to pay for this additional expense. We have adopted, however, the Board' s second alternative by moving the dumpster pads next to the rear of the building between the two truck docks (see enclosed revised plan dated 4/13/89) . The pads will be screened with a combination of fence and plantings. Russell Henderson of Northeast Exterminators said he dropped off his latest report the day of the 4/11 meeting. My 4/4/89 letter otherwise should cover the remaining conditions in your 4/12/89 letter. If you have any further questions or comments , please call me directly.
