Dear Ms. Hennessey;
The enclosed application, has been denied, and is being returned to you for the
following reason. This permit application requests that this be treated as a homeowner
exemption, this is not allowed by code. A homeowner exemption from licensing is only
applicable if the property in question is a one or two family home. The construction
method at Pickman Park Condominiums is such that each building has been classified as
a four unit building, and as such requires that a licensed Construction Supervisor be
employed to secure the permitting, and to oversee all aspects of the work to be
performed. As is the custom in this office, as we approach the month's end, checks are
removed from pending applications, a number is assigned to that application, and the
check thence gets processed. Whereas this application has been denied, please send your
contractor to this office with this denied application when he comes in to file the new
paperwork, and we will apply the previously paid amount to this application.
