Business uses are not allowed in an R-2 zone, thus in non-compliance with Section 3.0 of Zoning,moreover City of Salem Board of Health Regulation 23 is also being cited for not being in non-compliance. Observations were made during the visit that a motor vehicle was being worked on by a person stating he was a tenant of the property and had been mechanically sanding the vehicle prior to my arrival. Said vehicle that was not registered to any persons residing at the property as stated by the tenant,he further noted that he had permission from the owner of the building to be doing the work. Said violation must be cease and desist immediately upon your receipt of this notice. Failure to do so may result in further actions being brought against you,up to and including fines and the filing of complaints at District Court. If you feel you are aggrieved by this order, your Appeal is to the Salem Zoning Board of Appeals. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
