Dear Mr. Hansbury:
On Monday, March 8, 1999, an inspection of your property was conducted. Present at
the inspection were Fire Inspector Charles LaTullipe, Health Inspector, Jeff Vaughan,
Plumbing Inspector, Dennis Ross and myself.
There are numerous building violations, fire violations and health codes are as follows;
1. 15'floor front hallway— Door knob missing and must be replaced immediately.
2. Emergency lights in the hallways must be repaired or replaced immediately.
3. Hallway light fixtures must be made operable and protected with some sort of globe
or guard.
4. Illuminated exit signs must be added over the two exit doors.
5. Exterior door to be repaired or replaced and made secure.
6. Cellar lights to be installed for next inspection.
7. Paneling in third floor hallway to be removed and replaced with fire code sheetrock.
8. Weather permitting— Masonry problems on exterior of building to be addressed
(Painting, leaks, cracks).
- Please contact this office within ten (10) days upon receipt of this letter to inform us as to
what course of action you will take to rectify these violations. Failure to do so will result
in legal action being taken against you in Salem District Court.

Dear Sir:
In response to a complaint by the Salem Fire Department,this department
inspected the porches at 52 Peabody Street on October 17,1977.
The inspection revealed the porches to be in poor repair and a hazard to
the public safety and welfare.
You are ordered to:
1. Immediately secure the porches from access.
2. Contact this office within fifteen (15) days of receipt of this order
with a timetable of when porches will be repaired or removed.
