The complaints were investigated by our Department on Monday, September 22, 2014 and said property appears to be in violation of the Massachusetts State Building Code requirements. The decks at the front and rear of the structure appear to be in need of repair, the present method of securing the rear deck appears to be inadequate; a licensed Massachusetts's Registered Design Professional shall be required to review this situation and supply a letter regarding the safety of the deck to this office. Under the provisions of Massachusetts State Building Code (780 CMR Section 116) Please contact this office upon receipt of this letter t, furthermore you are hereby ordered to retain such Professional within5 days of receipt of this notice. Failure to do so may result in further actions being brought against you, up to and including the filing of criminal complaints at District Court. You have the right to appeal this order to the State Board of Building Regulations at One Ashburton Place,Boston,Ma.
