The complaints were investigated by our Department on Monday, September 22, 2014 and said property appears to be in violation of the Massachusetts State Building Code requirements. The decks at the front and rear of the structure appear to be in need of repair, the present method of securing the rear deck appears to be inadequate; a licensed Massachusetts's Registered Design Professional shall be required to review this situation and supply a letter regarding the safety of the deck to this office. Under the provisions of Massachusetts State Building Code (780 CMR Section 116) Please contact this office upon receipt of this letter t, furthermore you are hereby ordered to retain such Professional within5 days of receipt of this notice. Failure to do so may result in further actions being brought against you, up to and including the filing of criminal complaints at District Court. You have the right to appeal this order to the State Board of Building Regulations at One Ashburton Place,Boston,Ma. ORDER TO COMPLY: Since these conditions are direct violations of M.G.L. 148, Massachusetts CMR 527, or local ordinances, you must correct them upon receipt of this notice. An inspection to determine compliance with this Notice will be conducted on Sep 19, 2014. If you fail to comply with this notice before the reinspection date listed, you may be liable for the penalties provided for by law for such violations. Interior of the structure is clean and we'll maintained. Building inspector need to check structural integrity of the back porch. No Knox box present. Could not find any PTN information from the building or tenants.
