• Opaque walls are insulated concrete block walls with an R-value of 7
• Windows are fixed metal framed units with I" clear insulated glass with a U-value of 0.29
(value taken from PPG design Table.)
• Roof assembly is existing steel trusses with metal decking insulation board, single ply roofing
for a total R-value of approx 10.
Outside ventilation air 20 cfm per person
Local intermittent bathroom exhaust of 100 cfm from each bathroom
LIGHTING (also see attached COMchack Compliance Report:)
• 50 footcandles ambient lighting provided in banking area
• Task and display lighting levels to be determined
• 1.6 watts per gross square foot for ambient lighting in banking area
• 1.1 watts per gross square foot for lighting in storage and stock areas
• 1.0 watts per gross square foot lighting in the restrooms
• 0.25 watts per gross square foot for equipment and other plug loads
3. SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS AND INTERACTIONS
HVAC
Heating and cooling is served by one packaged rooftop for each 3,000 sf of space. A new
packaged rooftop unit will be provided for area, accessible 24 hours. Each rooftop unit will have
a programmable thermostat that will allow for different setpoints and occupancy schedules for
each day of the week. Each unit will deliver a fixed amount of outside air when the building is
occupied. The outside air dampers will be shut when the building is unoccupied.
In the event of activation of the fire detection/prevention/protection systems, all ventilation fans
will automatically shut down.
Crossfield Engineering File No.02229
Page 2 or2
LIGHTING
Ambient lighting in the banking area will be controlled by a seven day time clock. Lighting in
the storage area and restrooms will be controlled by occupancy sensors. Exterior security and
backlight signage lighting will be controlled by a seven day time clock that is separate from the
one controlling the ambient lighting.
Emergency lighting and exit sign lighting will have separate controls.
Parking lot lighting security lighting and canopy lighting will be controlled by photocells for
dusk to dawn operation.
4. SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT CAPACITIES
HVAC
Each 2,000 square foot structural module will have it's own constant air volume, single package
rooftop unit with a natural gas furnace for heating and an electric direct expansion air conditioner
for cooling. Each unit will be rated for 60,000 Btu/hr for cooling and will provide 1,000 cfm of
ventilation air. The rooftop units for the end occupancies will be rated for a minimum of 33,000
Btu/hr for heating. The other rooftop units will be rated for a minimum of 18,000 Btu/hr for
heating.
LIGHTING
The ambient lighting system for the banking area will consist of recessed compact fluorescent
downlights with twin tube lamps and electronic ballasts in the lobby and corridor areas and
recessed fluorescent troffers with energy saving lamps and ballasts in the office areas. Alternate
fixtures for ambient lighting and additional accent lighting requested by the tenant, up to the
wattage limit allowed under the code, including allowances, will be installed.
Security lighting will be 175 metal halide wallpack units strategically located along the building
exterior.
The following tests and inspections shall be performed by the General Contractor with the Owner
and the Owner's Representative present. The tests and inspections must comply with the criteria
stated for the work to be accepted.
5. TESTING REQUIREMENTS/CRITERIA
HVAC
• Inspect each rooftop unit for any physical damage. There shall be no dents or distortion of the
metal.
• Inspect each rooftop unit for any unusual noise or vibration. There shall be no unusual noise or
vibrations when the unit is operating.
• Inspect the seal of each rooftop unit and it's mounting curb for leaks. There shall be no laeks
indicated when using a smoke stick while the unit is running.
Crossfield Engineering Pile No,02229
• At least one of the HVAC systems serving each tenant space shall be tested to verify that the
final TAB report is correct. Readings within 10% of those listed on the final TAB report shall be
considered acceptable. If the readings are not acceptable, then all systems in that space must be
re-balanced and a new final TAB report prepared. After the final TAB report is issued, all HVAC
systems in the tenant space will be tested to verify that the new final report is correct.
• Verify that the HVAC system is functioning correctly. The furnace shall operate when the
thermostat calls for heat and the air conditioner must function when the thermostat calls for

• Windows are fixed metal framed units with l" clear insulated glass with a U-value of 0.29
(value taken from PPG design Table.)
• Roof assembly is existing steel trusses with metal decking insulation board, single ply roofing
for a total R-value of approx 10.
Outside ventilation air 20 of n per person
Local intermittent bathroom exhaust of 100 cfin from each bathroom
1n the event of activation of the fire detection/prevention/protection systems, all ventilation fans
will automatically shut down.
Ciosslield Engineering File No 02229

Parking lot lighting, security lighting and canopy lighting will be controlled by photocells for
dusk to dawn operation.
4. SYSTEMS AND EQUIPMENT CAPACITIES
HVAC
Each 2,000 square 'foot structural module will have it's own constant air volume, single package
rooftop unit with a natural gas furnace for heating and an electric direct, expansion air conditioner
for cooling. Each unit will be rated for 60,000 Btu/hr for cooling and will provide 1,000 efm of
ventilation air. The rooftop units for the end occupancies will be rated for a minimum of 33,000
Btu/hr for heating. The other rooftop units will be rated for a mininuun of 18,000 Btu/hr for
heating.
