RE: 64 Palmer Street
Dear Mr. Vasquez:
Per my visit to 64 Palmer Street today, we discussed some issues that must be addressed;
1. Gas grill off porch at apartment #8
2. Lights in both hallways.
3. Hallways to be clean and accessible at all times.
4. 2"d means of egress meaning the 3 that use the back porch, those doors must remain
unlocked at all times.
5. Remove and replace the 3 decks at the back of the house. As per our conversation
about the back decks referring to repair rather than replace.
You must use a licensed contractor with a sketch showing repairs being done. A building
permit must be obtained and we will inspect the decks when you finish.
If you feel you are aggrieved by this order, your appeal would be directed to the BBRS,
State Building Code Appeal Board.
Failure to respond to these orders within fifteen (15) days will result in legal action being
taken against you in Salem District Court.
y.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
Frank DiPaolo
Assistant Building Inspector

RE: 64 Palmer Street
Dear Mr.Vasquze:
Due to complaint to this office, I conducted an inspection on September 2, 1999 at the
above mentioned address regarding the back decks.
According to Section 103.1 of the Massachusetts State Building Code, regarding; keeping
and maintaining safe structures. I have found these structures to be unsafe.
We will also need to do a walk through inspection to check means of egress and fire
codes.
If you feel you are aggrieved by this order, your appeal would be directed to the BBRS,
State Building Code Appeal Board.
Failure to respond to these orders within fifteen (15) days will result in legal action being
taken against you in Salem District Court.
