Ordinance Violation
Dear Owners, this office received and investigated a complaint relating to the trailer at your
property. City of Salem Ordinance 24-21.1 requires that #1 the trailer be registered to the owner
of the property. #2 No trailer shall be stored except behind the building line of the principal
structure, and that the trailer be no closer than 10 feet from the lot line or within 5 feet of any
building on the lot. . Additionally,Salem zoning ordinance section 6.2 prohibits occupying a
trailer for living purposes within the City. I have enclosed a copy of the two Ordinances so you
may read the entire text. You are directed to contact this office within ten days of receipt of this
letter to confirm that you are in compliance with the Ordinances.
