Dear Mr. Hancock:
This letter is in response to our phone conversation of Thursday,
April 18, 1985, during which we discussed a parcel of land owned by the
MBTA which the City would like to use as a parking area. The parcel in
question (see attached map) stretches approximately 800 ft. and is 65
ft. wide.
The City would like to utilize this parcel as payment for the
parcel which the MBTA is using which abuts the temporary train station.
Upon site inspection, I found that the parcel would require a
small amount of cleanup and site preparation before it could be utilized
for parking.
The following would be necessary to facilitate parking on this
parcel:
Removal of debris which includes assorted piles of fill, railroad
ties, and length of track.
Grading of area with crushed stone similar to that which is used
at the temporary train station.
Creation of entrance and exit points inti *he_area.
Installing of railroad ties to prohibit any vehicle from
inadvertently backing into the existing railroad tracks.
The City feels that the use of the parcel, as well as the
preceeding improvements, would serve as adequate compensation for the
use of the parcel which abuts the train station.

If this arrangement is acceptable to you, I will forward the
necessary paperwork.
Please .contact me if you have any questions.
