Due to a 7-day delay in receiving material from your office, my proposal is not as `perfect' as I usually might have it. Please bear with me so I can get on your agenda and hopefully get approval for installation before or on April 30, 2004. 1. For this review period, I am requesting approval for a surface sign to be up no later than April 30, 2004. Following that, I will be requesting a Hanging sign and lighting approval for both signs. 2. Please note: the request for a hanging sign in the future will incorporate the same color background as the surface sign, and the same gold letters affixed, only in a smaller size. The hanging sign will be requested to be located where the present sign in the picture is now(Nostalgia). INFORMATION ON SURFACE SIGN: 1. The panel within which surface sign will be attached is 16"high; see sketch to understand that the panel extends over the entire length of the store without a break. 2. The gold-leaf letters on the sign are exactly 8" high or'/z the height of the panel as per regulations. 3. The sign will be anchored in location as per drawing, and the entire length of the wooden sign will be 8.5'. I am requesting approval for a hanging sign using an architectural detail from India as the base or hanger, and the signboard itself will hang below that piece as per attached drawings and information. 2. The sign will come out from above the middle of the store doorway in the exact location of the previous sign used by Nostalgia. 3. The architectural detail is a horse that is hand-carved, made of dense wood, painted and protected from the elements. It is 36"L x 20" h x 3" D and weighs apx. 15 pounds(see attached picture). 4. The signboard will be made of wood,painted the same dark green as already approved for the surface sign,with gold leaf lettering applied by hand in the Times Roman font. See attached. The sign is 20"x 20"and will hang from 2 eye hooks from the horse.Please note the sign maker did not get the exact green to be used in his rendering. 5. The finished sign will be 8' 6' from the sidewalk when installed.
