On July 25 , 1988 you applied for a sign permit for Joe' s Auto
Laundry, located at 38 Norman Street in Salem. The sign was disapproved
by the Salem Redevelopment Authority (SRA) because it was internally
illuminated and free standing, and if lighted during evening hours would
have a negative impact on the surrounding neighborhood.
As a result of our recent discussions, the SRA has agreed to accept
the sign as submitted, with the following condition: -
— That the sign be illuminated not more than two (2) hours
per day, and not later than 7:00 p.m. or time of close of
business each day, whichever is earlier.
If this is acceptable to you and your associates, please contact me
