The proposed facade for the back doorway area of the New England Pirate Museum
will be framed in 2x4 stock and finished with clad board, barn panel, and pine.
The colors will be traditional New England blues, browns, etc. to give the subtle
appearance of an old, weathered dockside tavern. (exterior stains and/or latex)
The facade will be attached to the existing structure with bolts, anchors and screws.
Most of the facade will be nearly flush with the building. Some areas, such as the upper
porch and railing, may extend outward from the building about 8 to 12 inches.
The pier facade along the side of the Museum will consist of wooden pillars and pine,
stained in a weathered grey, and will be attached to the main structure by bolts and
anchors. It will extend out from the building just enough to provide a three-dimensional
appearance.
The windows will be plexiglass.
The existing rear exit door will remain functional and unobstructed.
