Artist Row Stall 5 (Theory): Proposed signage
SRA Decision
At their meeting on May 14, 2008, the SRA voted to approve the April 23, 2008
DRB recommendation for the proposed signage at Artist Row Stall 5.
DRB Recommendation
At their meeting on April 23, 2008, the DRB voted to recommend approval of the
proposed signage at Artist Row Stall 5 with the following conditions:
• The sign shall be sized to be consistent with the Lobster Shanty's sign;
and
■ The frame shall be black with the copper banding.
Proposal
The proposal includes one blade sign 2'-6" wide by 1'-4" high for a total area of
3.33 square feet. The sign square footage complies with requirements. The
proposed lettering will be wood painted purple and 1" raised off of the sign face.
The background is a variety of colors. The sign material is wood. The applicant
will bring sample of the materials and colors to the meeting.

At their meeting on April 23, 2008, the DRB voted to recommend approval of the
proposed signage at Artist Row Stall 5 with the following conditions:
• The sign shall be sized to be consistent with the Lobster Shanty's sign;
and
■ The frame shall be black with the copper banding.
Proposal
The proposal has been modified to incorporate the DRB's comments and
conditions. The proposal includes one blade sign 36" wide by 25" high for a total
area of 6.25 square feet. The sign square footage complies with requirements.
The proposed lettering will be wood painted purple and 1" raised off of the sign
face. The background is a variety of colors. The sign material is wood.

Dimensions: 25" x 36" x 2%" (height x length x width)
Method of Attachment: hung by black chain and attached to existing freestanding pole via a black carabiner clip.
Materials: Sign will consist of two hardwood(MDF) boards glued together and edges covered/hammered with
copper flashing. The theory lettering and sun graphic will be 12" tall and the ima,>pination-creation
-innovation letting will be 6" tall. All lettering and the sun graphic will be raised 1" from the sign
face to create a 3D appearance. Sign will not be externally or internally illuminated.
