Dear Sirs,
This Department has received and confirmed complaints about commercial uses including automotive repair
being conducted from the garages.These garages are supposed to be ancillary use to the main building which is
42 Park Street.The garages are in violation of Salem Zoning as well as building code and other life safety
codes.
Under the authority of Mass State Building Code 780 CMR section 110.3.8,I have scheduled a required
inspection for August 1 at 10:00 A.M . All areas and all bays must be available for Inspectors from Building,
Fire,Electrical,and Health Departments. Failure to arrange for this inspection will be a violation of State
Building code. If you wish to Appeal this order,your appeal is to the Board of Buildings,regulations and
standards in Boston.
