Dear Voula,
Siegel Associates has been retained by Carl Johnson of C&J Renovations to perform as the Structural
Engineer of Record for the above-referenced project. In this capacity we reviewed existing conditions
and proposed skylight openings with the contractor, performed structural calculations, and provided
verbal instructions.
We visited the project site on July 9, 2019 to confirm compliance with our design and respond to
contractor questions.
To the best of my knowledge, information and belief, based on limited observation, the structural
work generally complies with our design, with the structural provisions of the Massachusetts State
Building Code for One- and Two-Family Dwellings, and with accepted structural practice. Since our
observations were not performed on a full-time basis, there may be non-compliant items about which
we cannot attest.
