RE: Complaint 70 North Street
Dear Mr. Burnham:
I received a complaint this morning from the Salem Police which relates to your parcel
abutting the overpass. Homeless people have been gathering around the vehicles and
equipment stored on your property.
A makeshift shelter has been erected between some of the equipment. It would help us if
you could remove the makeshift shelter.
If you have any questions, please contact me directly.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter.

Re: 70 North Street
Dear Mr. St. Pierre:
I am writing in response to your letter of June 16 concerning a complaint you
received about an alleged makeshift shelter being used by homeless people at 70 North
Street. Once I received your letter I went to 70 North Street to inspect the area. I did not
find any makeshift shelter there.
Please be assured when we are aware of any such illegal shelter on the site it will
be dismantled. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and please do not hesitate to
call if you have any questions in this regard.
