Mr. Delande,
Our office received a complaint regarding your property located at 14 New Derby Street.The complaint
was investigated on Monday, June 17, 2019.
The chimney on the rear lower portion roof of 14 New Derby Street is in need of repair as it poses a risk
to Public Safety. Under the provisions of Massachusetts State Building Code(780 CMR Section
116, 780 CMR Section 107.6.2 and Massachusetts General Law's Chapter 143)
You are hereby ordered to begin to rectify these conditions immediately upon receipt of this notice.
Please notify this office upon receipt of this letter of your course of action and apply for the
proper permits though this office.
Failure to do so may result in further actions being brought against you, up to and including the
issuance of Municipal tickets or filing of criminal complaints at District Court. If you feel you
are aggrieved by this letter you have the right to appeal this order to the State Board of Building
Regulations at One Ashburton Place, Boston, Ma.
