Dear Chairman and Members of the Board:
On behalf of Dodge Area LLC, we hereby seek approval to install a new doorway at an existing retail
storefront location at the building located at 201-209 Washington Street(some times referred to as the
Hawthome Building). We believe our proposed design will create a consistent look and feel for the retail
entrances at the building.
As you will note in the attached documentation, we are proposing to install a new retail entry door with
accompanying side-light windows. The materials used will be primarily wood and glass. This entry will be
similar to the entrance at 209 Washington Street(the location of Starbucks).
Upon final approval the Salem Redevelopment Authority, we expect to begin this installation as quickly as
possible. Provided we do not experience any unanticipated delays, we believe that we can have this
entrance installed within three to four weeks from the issuance of a permit.
Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
