It just might make all other low-E glasses obsolete. LGP3- 366 delivers the ideal balance of solar control and high visibility. And it provides the highest levels of year-round comfort and energy savings, making it the perfect glass no matter where you live. The secret? An unprecedented triple layer of silver. This Is beyond ordinary low-E glass; LoE3-366 sets the new standard. Low-E times three makes the difference Cardinal has for years worked with top-tier window manufacturers by providing energy-efficient LoF glass. Now with three layers of year-round thermal protection, the benefits are exceptional. The result: a clear coating that blocks even more solar gain than ever before, reflects heat and lets the light stream In. Notice the difference below between clear glass, regular low-E glass and new LoE3-366. littp://ww-v.cardinalcorp.com/productS—coated_366/366.litm 8/3/2006 LoP"-366 Coated Glass I Low-E Glass I Cardinal Glass Industries Page 2 of 3 LoE3-366 - Ultimate glass performance I LoE-366 Is spectrally"Iective. The special coating dear Mess distinguish*%between desirable visible I Ight against unwelcome UV and near-Infrared rays. The resu It is the ultimate in solar heat and fading protection. on""ery Ww-E"Less recommended for DSL connections or faster turn on your speakers La E'-36d REPLAY I STOP I PLAY Uv VISIBLE NIRLIGHT Energy savings all year long The full-year benefits of -ul- -3o6 can be clearly seen. When the temperature soars in the summer, ordinary window glass just can't beat the heat. And tlntad glass spoils the view. LoP-366 is formulated to reject solar heat while maintaining attractive visibility. So it keeps the heat out while letting light in. As a matter of fact, LoE3-366 glass is our ultimate in performance and clarity among all of Cardinal's clear coated products. What is more.,LoE3-366 provides the ultimate in fading protection. It blocks 95%of the sLn's damaging ultraviolet rays - a leading cause of fading - so your furniture, carpets, curtains and wall coverings stay beautiful for years. During the co d weather, the insulating effect of your windows has a direct impact on how your rooms feel. The better insulated the window glass, the warmer your -oom will feel. In fact, the Efficient Windows Collaborative suggests that when glass surface temperature falls below 52°F, there is a risk of thermal discomfort. To maintain the best comfort during the winter, select a glass product that produces surface temperatures that will stay above this po nt during the coldest outdoor conditions. According the chart below, the insulating capability of LOP-366 can't be compared to any other glass product. This is a key factor in the construction of comfortable homes. Additionally, the dramatic comfort improvement in windows with warm glass surfaces means the humidity of the indoor air can be controlled and maintained properly. Proper humidity levels will improve comfort and promote a healthier living environment. http://www.cardinalcorp.com/products_coated_366/366.htm 8/3/2006 CITY OF SALEM, MASSACHUSET`TS v DFPARTNMFNT OF PI AWNING_ IND `tea Za CONINIUNITY DEVF.LOPMF-Ml' 9ar'^c 9'irrWB 120 W-\SI IING'I'C)N S'1'REF'T♦ S.1IA'-NI,N'IASSAC14USF:I'1'S U1970 Ki.%mL-u.liY DRISCOLL TQ.:978-145--9595 ♦ F:Le:978-740-0404 %L\YOR LvNN GooN1N DLNCAN,AlCP DIR6.CI'OR North River Canal Corridor (NRCC) Neighborhood Mixed Use District Site Plan Review— Design Review Board Requirements All projects proposed in the NRCC Neighborhood Mixed Use District (see attached map) that require Site Plan Review are required to receive a recommendation by the Design Review Board (DRB). Based upon drawings submitted to the SRA, dated June 1, 2006, and prepared by our office, the Owners are seeking your permission to make the following changes to the exterior of 17-21 Front Street, Salem Massachusetts: 1: Install two new dormers on the rear roof to match the existing dormers on the front roof. We are seeking to add more nurtural light into the third floor office areas. 2: Install new bronze aluminum and glass entrance off Front Street to match existing entrance. We are seeking to add the possibility of breaking up the first floor into two Tenants instead of just one Tenant. 3: Remove existing window and restore door that was once there as shown on our plan of the left elevation of the building. We are seeking to add the possibility of outside seating for a possible restaurant. ■■ K. K. Morant 0 Co. , Inc. No P.O. We would like to add shutters to two additional sides of the building ( left and rear elevations). The new colors of the windows shall be a pre-mix Benjamin Moore white and the shutters shall be black ( ). The existing wood shutters are quite a maintenance nightmare. Please note; that the existing wood shutters are falling apart and peeling, a vinyl shutters is a one piece unit, so it will never fall apart and/or peel. Once the vinyl shutters is attached to the building it becomes very sturdy unit. 5: Install new surface mounted (#3200) Knox box to front entrance of building shown on plans. We are seeking your permission to meet the requirements of the Salem Fire Department. 6: Install three new signs with lighting on the front of the building. This is to accommodate the possibility of two new Tenants on the first floor and one general sign for the second and third floor Tenants for a total of three signs. 7: Install new white aluminum storm windows on all wood double hung windows of the entire building. We seek your permission to allow the building meet the energy codes, provide a better atmosphere for our Tenants, so they will be able to open their windows to let in fresh air with out the invasion of insects, and the storm windows will provide additional protect of the wood sashes.
