SRA Decision
At their meeting on April 9, 2008, the SRA voted to approve the March 26, 2008
DRB recommendation for the proposed signage at 272 Essex Street.
DRB Recommendation
At their meeting on March 26, 2008, the DRB voted to recommend approval of
the proposed signage at 272 Essex Street with the following conditions:
■ The sign shall have a 10-foot clearance over the sidewalk; and
• The word "Hair' shall beat least one inch lower than proposed.
Proposal
The proposal includes one blade sign in an existing sign bracket. The proposed
sign is light brown with gold leaf and black lettering. It is 33" wide by 48" tall for a
total area of 11 square feet. The sign square footage complies with requirements.
Except for the address which is painted on the surface, the lettering will be raised
acrylic with '/d' depth. The sign material is V thick composite.

Proposal

wide by 48" tall for a total area of 11 square feet. The sign square footage
complies with requirements. Except for the address which is painted on the
surface, the lettering will be raised acrylic with '/:' depth. The sign material is 1"
thick composite. Lighting is proposed to be mounted on the bracket.
