awnings and exterior lighting
Proposal for April 25 DRB Meeting
The submission includes a letter, description, and photos of the proposed
awnings.
The proposal is to add two black Sunbrella cloth awnings. One awning will be
above the Essex Street entrance and another above a Washington Street
entrance. The awnings would have 23" x 72" logo and business name.
Staff Comment
The proposal complies with City and SRA guidelines.

This letter is a request to add two new awnings and continue use of exterior uplights Washington St side
already fixed on building (see pictures). Awnings to placed one over the handicapped doorway on 231
Essex St far left corner of building and one over the far right doorway leading into Colonial Hall on
Washington St side of building at 231 Essex St(DANIEL LOW BUILDING ROCKAFELLAS). From the time
we make deposit on awnings to Pelletier Awnings, to final installation will be 3-4 weeks(BYJUNE 1,
2012).The actual install once the awnings are built to be placed on building is two days completed.We
appreciate your taking the time to meet on this subject and all and any improvements to this property
will be added value to our business and to the downtown area with the additional revenue of COLONIAL
HALL AT ROCKAFELLAS.
