SRA Decision
At their meeting on June 10, 2009, the SRA voted to approve the May 27, 2009
DRB recommendation for the proposed entry canopy at 209R Essex Street.
DRB Recommendation
At their meeting on May 27, 2009, the DRB voted to recommend approval of the
proposed entry canopy at 209 Essex Street with the following conditons:
- The letters shall be a maximum of 5.5 inches tall; and
- The applicant inform the Board of the font type.
Staff Comment
The applicant has indicated the letters (for the address) will be 5 inches tall and
the font is Times New Roman.
Proposal
The proposal is to erect a custom entry canopy to prevent rain from entering the
tenant's door frame. The shed shaped canopy is 54.25" wide with a 30"
projection. There is a 90" clearance from the top step. The awning color will be
burgundy and the address 209R will appear in white.
The DRB reviewed an earlier proposal for this canopy on March 25, 2009.
