MetroPCS Communications, Inc. a provider of wireless communications services. Its' corporate headquarters is located in Dallas, Texas. MetroPCS holds 23 licenses through its subsidiaries in the greater Miami, Tampa, Sarasota,Atlanta, San Francisco, Dallas, Detroit and Sacramento metropolitan areas. MetroPCS has more than 3 million subscribers and offers customer's flat rate plans with unlimited anytime local and domestic long distance minutes with no signed contract. MetroPCS is among the fust wireless operators to deploy an all-digital network based on third generation infrastructure and handsets. I MetroPCS initially launched service in 2002 in the Atlanta, South Florida, Sacramento and San Francisco areas. In 2004, MetroPCS acquired licenses for the greater Tampa/Sarasota area and has now expanded its Florida footprint from South Florida into the Central Florida region. MetroPCS will be launching additional markets in Dallas in March 2006 and Detroit April 2006. Our Approach MetroPCS brings a fresh approach to traditional wireless by continuing to make wireless service simple, convenient and easy to use. Description of Proposed Installation The applicant proposes to install six (6) panel antennas on the existing penthouse, painted to match the building at 27 Charter Street, Salem, MA. The antennas will be connected via coaxial cables to three (3) equipment cabinets located within a 10' x 16' lease space, on the roof of the building concealed by a 10' screen wall also painted to match the building. The equipment cabinets measure 71"IIx52"Wx28"D. One (1) 19" GSM antenna as well as one (1) 3 7/8" GPS antenna will be located on the rooftop to allow for FCC mandated E911 capabilities. The installation requires only electric and telephone utilities and, once completed, will require, on average, one to two monthly maintenance visits by qualified company technicians. No water, sewer or other municipal services are required. Please also note that no permanent back up generator is included as part of the installation. The equipment cabinets measure 71"Hx52"Wx28"D. One (1) 19" GSM antenna as well as one (1) 3 7/8" GPS antenna will be located on the rooftop to allow for FCC mandated E911 capabilities. The installation requires only electric and telephone utilities and, once completed, will require, on average, one to two monthly maintenance visits by qualified company technicians. No water, sewer or other municipal services are required. Please also note that no permanent back up generator is included as part of the installation.
