No work is proposed within the wetlands. Minimal work (truck augering) is proposed within a portion of the 100-foot buffer zone. s The existing net and poles will be replaced with a new net and poles (approximately Afeet high) to catch golf balls hit on this driving range, thus greatly controlling the scatter of golf balls. The entire operation will take approximately four-days. Any spoil material will be removed from the site • (most will go back into the augered hole). Disturbed areas (including tire marks) will be loamed and seeded for permanent stability. As shown on the photographs, the work area is flat lawn, therefore no erosion or siltation is expected, and thus there will be no impact to the wetlands. For these reasons, my client respectfully seeks a negative determination. I respectfully submit nine (9) copies of the Request for Determination application to include the following: •RFD Application (WPA Form 1), • •Check for$25 (RFD filing fee made payable to the City of Salem), *Salem GIS Locus Map, •Photographs (taken on 11/14/07) showing the proposed net and poles replacement. No work is proposed within the wetlands. Minimal work (truck augering) is proposed within a portion of the 100-foot buffer zone. -So The existing net and poles will be replaced with a new net and poles (approximately Afeet high) to catch golf balls hit on this driving range, thus greatly controlling the scatter of golf balls. The entire operation will take approximately four-days. Any spoil material will be removed from the site (most will go back into the augered hole). I respectfully submit nine (9) copies of the Request for Determination application to include the following: •RFD Application (WPA Form 1), *Check for$25 (RFD filing fee made payable to the City of Salem), E •Salem GIS Locus Map, •Photographs (taken on 11/14/07) showing the proposed net and poles replacement. One copy of the above RFD package is being sent to DEP-Wetlands, Northeast Regional Office, 205B Lowell Street, Wilmington, MA 01887. 14 Brown Street, Salem, Massachusetts 01970 Cell: 978-836-6400.
