No work is proposed at this time. There are no flagged wetlands to be determined with this application. That will occur later either from the owners or a prospective buyer. The main focus of this ANRAD is to provide documentation that the southerly stream is intermittent and will not have riverfront area. The stream is shown as a perennial stream on the USGS map however, the stream ceases to flow on a regular basis in the summer. I visited the site on four separate days in a single calendar year in 2015 to document the dry stream conditions. I have compiled this photographic evidence and provided an attested statement of my observations. Pursuant to regulations at 310 CMR 10.58. This photographic documentation is sufficient to refute the perennial stream indicator status on the USGS map. The property is for sale. Any party doing their due diligence will immediately see the perennial indication on the USGS map and question how much of this property would be within riverfront area. Given this intermittent stream runs the entire length of the property, solidifying the finding of intermittent status will provide critical information to any perspective buyer. Would you please schedule this matter for your earliest available meeting? Sincerely, Wetlands&Land Management, Inc. William J. This report is included with an ANRAD filing. The ANRAD filing is limited to determining the intermittent status of the southerly watercourse on the property. There are two watercourses on the site. Both emanate from a large wetland swamp, off site further up in the watershed. One stream course enters the site in the northeast comer of the site and runs along the northerly property boundary for a short distance before entering a culvert for the remaining run along on this part of the site. Town GIS mapping shows the culvert draining under Swampscott Road and into the wetland on the opposite side of Swampscott Road. A second watercourse enters the site again in the vicinity of the northeast corner, but branches southeasterly and then trends easterly along the southern property boundary. The watercourse on the northern side of the lot is not shown on the USGS map. The water course on the southerly side of the property is shown as a perennial stream on the USGS map. A field examination of the site reveals the southerly stream does in fact dry and cease to flow. The intent of this submittal is to verify that the southerly stream on the site is intermittent and that there is no riverfront area on the property. I have documented this observation with dated photographic evidence on four separate days within a single calendar year. In accordance with 310 CMR 10.58 (2)a.l.d., I am attaching photographic documentation and my statement under penalties of perjury of my dry stream observations. This is sufficient evidence to overcome the presumption of perennial stream status of the indicated stream on this site. Based on my photographic documentation taken in a non-drought period, there is no riverfront area associated with the southerly stream at 120 Swampscott Road. Thank you for your consideration of this matter Sincerely, Wetlands&Land Management, Inc. q ✓ William I Manuell Wetland Scientist 2 Statement Regarding Intermittent Stream Observations At 120 Swampscott Road, Salem, NU September 16, 2015 I, William Manuell, a wetland scientist with over 25 years of professional experience, do swear under pains and penalties of perjury, I have observed the southerly stream channel at 120 Swampscott Road, Salem, MA to be in a no-flow or dry condition. This particular stream is indicated as a perennial stream on the USGS map. I have observed this reach of stream in a no-flow condition on at least four days in a consecutive calendar year. This information is provided in accordance with 310 CMR 10.58 (2)a.l.d to overcome the presumption that this reach of stream would be considered perennial. I observed the southerly stream on the 120 Swampscott Road site to be in a no-flow condition, dry stream bed on September 2, 3, 4 and 7, 2015. Signed under pains and penalties of perjury on this 16's day of September, 2015 r William Manuell Wetland Scientist 3 '( tea.}.yn-^,YiY`t''f` 4..1 T`f^ SE"- P Vit ► n 1 .plllrk'Rry A ( + 5s y, •R; '{.
