The property located at 7 Linden Street (Assessors' Parcel X133-352)
was found to be a three (3) unit dwelling when first listed in July,
1973, and has continued to be listed as such in the Assessors' Office
records until Fiscal 1986. At that time it was assessed as a two (2)
unit dwelling and has continued to be listed as such. Prior to 1973,
this office did not maintain records on number of dwelling units.

This office has received complaints alleging there are rental units at
the above referenced property. According to the records in this office,
this is a single family dwelling and it is a violation of the City of Salem
Zoning Ordinance to rent rooms or apartments in a single family dwelling.
Please contact this office within three (3) days of receipt so we may
discuss this situation and take the proper steps to correct any violations
that there may be at this site.

THE SALEM FIRE DEPARTMENT AND WIRE INSPECTOR MARK ROCHON RESPONDED
TO AN EXTENSION CORD FIRE IN THE SECOND FLOOR DECEMBER 31,20 10. THE
EXTESION CORD FEEDING THE WINDOW HOLIDAY LIGHTING MELTED IN THE DOOR
JAMB IGNITING A COAT. THE CORD WAS PLUGGED INTO THE SECOND FLOOR
HALLWAY LUMINAIRE THAT WAS REMOVED AND WIRE NUTTED.
THIS OFFICE HAS NOT RECEIVED AN ELECTRICAL PERMIT APPLICATION AS
REQUESTED FOR THE REPAIR OF THE SECOND FLOOR LUMINAIRE AND THE OUTLET
BOX.
PLEASE TAKE TIM NECESSARY STEPS TO REPAIR THIS ELECTRICAL HAZARD. THIS
WORK SHALL BE DONE BY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN WI'T'H A PERMIT FROM THIS
OFFICE WITH A COMPLETED FINAL INSPECTION.
