I appreciate your coming in to talk with me about it. I had a chance to stop there the other day and take a closer look at the building. State Building code,780 C.M.R section 103 requires an owner of a property to maintain all parts of a building in good condtion. The failing roof and soffits are allowing water infiltration excelerating the failure of the building. You are directed to contact this office within ten days of receipt of this letter. It is a 2-car garage consisting of a combination of wood frame and masonry construction. Both forms of construction are in disrepair and pose a hazard to anyone working in or around this structure. It is a wood frame garage that has fallen into disrepair. The roof has several large holes exposing both the roof framing and the interior framing to the weather. There appears to be a fair amount of architectural details left on the building and the owners may consider investing in repair work to save the structure. In its present condition this building is considered unsafe by this department and we urge you(tak the appropriate actions to remedy the situation. Sign David W.
