Notice of the hearing was sent to abutters and others and notices of the hearing were properly published in the Salem Evening News in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Petitioners are requesting a Variance for a broader use of the Hangar in this R-1 District. In a letter to the Board of Appeal dated December 5, 1984 from Gary M. Moore, Manager of Winter Island, the Winter Island Commission requested this petition be allowed to withdraw without prejudice. It is my understanding that the matter has been scheduled for a hearing on December 5, 1984 .
