Dear Mr. Barrett & Members of the Board:
I would like to be recorded as opposed to the petition
of Robert and Susan O' Connell for a variance to allow a 6 '
sign to remain on their property at 38 Valley Street.
This sign is detracting from the beauty of this single
family residential neighborhood. In addition, the sign is
much too large for this size lot.
I would ask that the Board consider the neighbors
feelings and concerns about their properties, and vote to
deny this petition, and order the sign removed.
Thank you for your consideration.
Ze truly yours,
COULS

To Members of City of Salem Board of Appeal:
We, the undersigned, co-owners of the property on 22 Valley Street wish to
record our objection to the proposed variance to allow any sign (and indeed any
business operation) to be conducted in this R-1 residential zone. We feel that the
proposed sign at 38 Valley Street, already in place, detracts from the residential
atmosphere of this neighborhood and would set an unfortunate precedent for
other businesses to encroach and create additional traffic problems in this area.
Sincerely,
Peter J. Georgelas
