The second floor railing is detached and in danger of falling to the ground. This also constitutes a danger to life and limb for your tenants.This is a violation of Mass. State Building code 780 CMR section 116. Addittionally, speaking with the tenant on the second floor,it appears you are renting rooms on both the second and third floors. You are not permitted for a rooming house and this is a serious violation of Mass General Law, Building Code and Fire Laws. Also ,several smoke.detectors were missing as well as required Carbon Monoxide Detectors For the railing, you are directed to secure a building permit and to begin repairs immediately. Failure to do so will result in Municipal Code Tickets and further enforcement actions. Regarding the second matter,you are directed to contact this office upon receipt of this notice to arrange for an Inspection of the entire premises.
