RE: 105 Leach Street
DATE: August 14, 1997
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have reviewed the proposed plans for the installation of a 3 x 3 concrete footing and a davit arm
behind the existing sea wall at 105 Leach Street. This seawall has been permitted with a Chapter
91 License. The proposed work is considered temporary because the davit is secured by four
bolts and therefore, no further approval by the Conservation Commission is needed at this time.
However, if any additional work is proposed for this property, the owner of this property shall
contact the Conservation Commission to review any proposed work.

Dear Micheal;
This department has reviewed your request that you be allowed to remove this
structure in it's entirety so that it can be completely rebuilt. It is our determination that
given consideration to the minimal percentage of the existing structure that would have
been left, it is in the best interest of this project for you to proceed as planned. We feel
that this does not derogate from the intent of the Boards decision regarding this property.
The end result of this will be a better level of construction, with the finished structure still
meeting the Board approved plans.
If you have further questions regarding this issue, please feel free to contact me at
this office, (978) 745 —9595, ext 386.
