(See Regulations below) The following actions are required immediately to brine the Property into compliance with the Massachusetts State Building Code and City of Salem Zoning Ordinances: 1. File building Permits and arrange inspections for the complete removal of the basement kitchen including removal ofplumbing behind the finished wall, any and all partitions that constitute a living or sleeping area in any way. 2. If you intend to keep the basement bathroom, have licensed tradesmen arrange for plumbing and electrical work to be inspected including removing construction finishes sufficient.for inspectors to see the work. 3. Remove any and all mattresses located in the basement immediately. 4. Submit a signed and notarized affidavit that you shall not occupy the basement area until all work itemized above is completed and signed off by this department and any other City department having jurisdiction. Rooming House Regulations(from Salem Zoning Ordinance) 5. Rooming Houses are not allowed anywhere in the City except in BI and B2 Zones.
