accordance with Section IX A.1 of the Zoning Ordinance.
Plans to re convert the former Cunney family side of 50 - 52 Highland Avenue
back into two apartments. Request from the Board. of Appeals permission
for a use variance to change from the present 3. family dwelling t'o the
former 4 family dwelling.

The Application for Permit was denied by the Inspector of Buildings for the following
reasons:

The Undersigned hereby petitions the Board of Appeals to vary the terms of the Salem
ZDn.inc Ordinance and/or the Building Code and order the Inspector of Buildings to
approve the application fee permit to build as filed, as the enforcement of said
Zoning By-Laws and Building Code would involve practical difficulty or unnecessary
hardship to the Undersigned and relief nay be granted without substantially dero-
gating from the intent and purpose of the Zoning. Ordinance and Building Code for
the follo-,ting reasons :
1. The property was once 4 family. As the Cunney family grew, they needed

the space of the 4th unit. That left 2 rentals vs. 3.
2. There will a no change to the exterior of the building, no additions,
or no out buildings.
3. There will be space of 8 car parking at the rear of the building vVthe
property.
