Re: Retaining Wall
Dear Owner,
This Department has received and investigated a complaint regarding the retaining wall on the
right side of your property. This complaint dates back to the construction of the second story on
your home. At that time we were assured that the retaining wall would be repaired towards the
end of the building project. The Mass. State Building Code 780 C.M.R section 5103 requires the
owner of a property to maintain all parts and systems in a safe,operable, and sanitary condition.
You are directed to begin repairs to the retaining wall within 30 days of receipt of this notice.
Failure to repair the wall will result in further enforcement actions. If you feel you are aggrieved
by this order, your appeal is to the Board of Buildings, Regulations and Standards in Boston. If
you have any questions, please contact me directly.

removed from the construction project on 40 Lawrence Street for failure to manage
and complete the project in a reasonable and timely manner. I Mark Gauthier (Home
Owner) will be resuming responsibility for the completion of this project.
