RE: Variance and Special Permit
Granted to Property at
89 Congress Street, Salem
Orille L'Heureux
Gentlemen:
Please consider the .enclosed application for extension of the
above referenced Variance and Special Permit granted by your Board
for a period of six (6) months from the effective date of that
grant.
While Petitioner still plans to do the construction and
renovation of the existing apartments for individual rooms with
shared kitchen facilities as permitted by the Board in this matter,
the present economic situation has prohibited such a large
expenditure. The Petitioner, hopeful of an economic turnaround,
wishes to keep the Variance and Special Permit from lapsing, so as
to be able to commence construction when the climate for
development improves.
We would, therefore, respectfully request that this Board
grant an extension as provided in General Laws Ch. 40A, Section 10,
for an additional six (6) month period from the effective date of
the Variance and Special Permit granted for the property at 89
Congress Street.
Respectfully submitted,
