PETITION
WE, THE UNDERSIGNED ABUTTERS AND NEIGHBORS, AGAIN PETITION THE
SALEM BOARD OF APPEALS TO GRANT THE REQUESTED VARIANCE OF ARTHUR
RABY OF 12 CLEVELAND STREET. WE WERE PLEASED TO FIND THAT THE
BOARD GRANTED THE PETITION IN THE FALL OF 1994 AND ARE HOPEFUL
THE PETITION WILL BE APPROVED AGAIN AND THAT CONSTRUCTION WILL
BECOME A REALITY SOON.
THE VARIANCE WOULD ALLOW THE .PREMISES TO BE SUBDIVIDED. WE WOULD
ALSO ASK THAT THE BOARD OF APPEALS GRANT A VARIANCE UP TO ALLOW
THE CONSTRUCTION OF A TWO FAMILY DWELLING ON THE PROPERTY. WE
FEEL THAT THE PETITION SHOULD BE GRANTED IN THAT THE RELIEF
GRANTED, ALLOWING THE PROPOSED SUBDIVISION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A
TWO FAMILY DWELLING, WOULD BE BE BENEFICIAL TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD
IN THAT THE PROPOSED VARIANCE WOULD ALLOW AN ADDITION TO THE
PROPERTY TAX BASE AS WELL AS INCREASE PROPERTY VALUES IN OUR
NEIGHBORHOOD.
