Dear Owners:
After a recent inspection of your property, and a careful examination of the Public
Records, the following has been determined. The current arrangement of this structure is
a grandfathered legal two family,with an existing egress issue that needs to be corrected.
In order for this property to be used as an allowed non-conforming R—2 the front
staircase to the second floor must be separated from the ls1 floor use by a lhour rated wall
system. Alternatively, the second floor kitchen could be removed and the property could
be allowed to revert back to a single family use. For either of these two remedies a
Building Permit would be required, and said work would have to be inspected per code.
