Dear Sir: I conducted a periodic Inspection of your facility today and on February 2, 2010. These inspections were done according to the requirements of the State Building Code 780 CMR Section 106.5. I have not renewed your certificate of inspection which expired on 3/28/09 and will not renew it until you have corrected the following violations. 1. You have storage shelving and a Co2 gas canister partially obstructing the rear egress door. On my first inspection in addition to the above obstructions were 2 mop buckets mith mops directly in front of the door. This is a violation of the State Building Code 780 CMR Section 1014.2 which requires that "exits be unobstructed at all times". 2. There is storage shelving obstructing the electrical panel in the room at the rear left corner of the building. This a violation of The National Electrical Code (adopted as part of the State Building Code) Article 110.26 which requires a clear"working space" 36" deep for the full width of the electrical equipment with no storage allowed in that space. On my first inspection there were also several boxes of store inventory completely obstructing both electrical panels. If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact the Building Inspectors Office at(978) 745-9595, extension 5644 You have a right to appeal this decision to the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards at Room 1301 One Ashburton Place, Boston, Ma 02108 617-727-3200.
