Northeast Animal Shelter is in the process of attempting to purchase and enlarge our facility. We have been located at 204 Highland Avenue since 1976, and have placed over 90,000 homeless dogs and cats in permanent homes. A new Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources Emergency Order requires every animal coming into Massachusetts for adoption be isolated for 48 hours. A copy of the Order is enclosed. Because our current facility is so small, we don't have adequate space for the isolation area. We have two )ossible short-term solutions: #1) place a trailer on the property i:or office use otrly and use our existing office space for kennel space,or#2)place a trailer on the property for the isolation area. The second option will require we hook up to the water and sewer system. We would appreciate permission to place a trailer at 204 Highland Avenue, whether that permission be for either option #1 or option#2 above.
