RE : 45 Harbor Street
Dear Mr. Caceres :
It has come to the attention of this office that you
have installed a sign on the premises without the proper
permits being issued by the building department .
This sign must be removed at once, or proper permits
must be issued through the building department .
Obtain Surety Bond per Article 3-38 of the City of
Salem Sign Ordinance which reads as follows :
3-38 No permit required for a sign over a public way
or sidewalk shall be effective until surety company bond
in the sum of One thousand dollars (&1 , 000 ) conditioned to
save harmless the City from any claims for or by reason of
the maintenance of such sign, and shall be on file with
the City Clerk.
3-39 All bonds required by 3-38 shall be for a term
of one ( 1) year from the date of permit insurance . A
renewal thereof shall be filed annually with the City
Clerk. Any failure to renew such bond shall be sufficient
reason for the revocation of the permit for the sign to
which it applies .
Please contact this office upon receipt of this
letter so as to inform us as to your course of action in
this matter. Failure to do so will result in legal action
being taken against you.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation
