I suggested to Jerry Ouellette , the complain— cant , that he call police headquarters to have an officer actually observe the conditions at the time Mr . Ouellette considers the noise level offensive . I then spoke to John Beauregard , the manager of the Credit Union . He stated to me that this particular air conditioning unit was installed Last year due to computer equipment inside of the Credit Union requiring "Climate Control" . I explained that Mr . Ouellette was complaining and at that time he made a telephone call to Mr . Andrew Foisy , the Credit Union& legal advisor . Mr . Foisy assured me that he would request the contracting company which installed the unit to come back to take a reading of the decibl level of the unit and if need by to service said unit . He further stated that should the levels fall within the acceptable level , no action would be taken . I explained our city ordinance reguarding noise levels and what could be called an unusual noise . City, ordinance Chapter 16 �z Secl states in part : Certain noises prohibited . . . "Any noise which : ( Sec 2 ) SPORTING i =FILER CAR it SUPERVISOR ID OFFICER annoys or disturbs a reasonable person of normal sensitivities . " Having explained this to Mr . Beauregard , I left with the impression that the credit unions position would be one of co-operation , given a reasonable time to take action on the problem .
