Martin Stockman Hiroshi Yoneyama December 4 , 1987 Al Valley THE WELCH GROUP 15 Front Street Salem, MA 01970 Dear Al: As per your request I have contacted City officials concerning two issues in the Essex Court Project: _ a) fire treated blocking requirements, and b) pool drain line tie-ins. Regarding the first issue, Mr. Bill Monroe of the Salem Building Department informed me that we will need fire-treated blocking only at the townhouse elevation along the 23 line, at all openings and behind any trimwork. Other than this area, the remainder of the project does not require fire-treated blocking. Regarding the second issue, Mr . Dennis Ross (Plumbing Inspector) informed me that pool drain line tie-ins will have to be made to storm lines either at Church Street or in the courtyard. Bob Carter of H . W. Moore confirmed this possibility and suggested a tie-in be made to the courtyard drainage system as this precludes the need for an additional sump. An SK will be generated and forwarded to you as soon as possible showing this new condition. Sincerely, VITOLS ASSOCIATES Denise Carcia cc: Richard Ness, Development Group William Monroe, Building Inspector, City of Salem Dennis Ross, Plumbing Inspector, City of Salem fit# ofttlem, ttszcl#use##s ff4rr Irpwamrnt Fr0quurtrrs Tames X- Armmm QIhief June 20, 1974 John Powers Building Inspector Rei Front St. Property City of Salem J.
