Violation(s) -- Based upon a tenant complaint,an inspection was conducted in accordance with Article II of the State Sanitary Code, 105 CMR 410.000.Upon inspection,the following were noted: 7 days 235 1. A number of baseboard heating units throughout the apartment have damaged or displaced covers. Refit and/or replace covers for any such units so they are in good condition. Owner to correct this violation within 7 days. 30 days .500 2. There are holes in the exterior facing walls of the apartment from insulation installation. Ensure repair of the holes is followed through with when appropriate. Owner to correct this violation within 30 days. 24-48 hours .550 3. Some mouse droppings were noted in the laundry room. Owner to hire services of licensed exterminator to inspect and treat the basement area and unit for mice. Treatments must continue until problem is abated. In accordance with Salem city code of ordinance, owner must apply for and obtain a Certificate of Fitness for this unit and ordinances, ensure all other units in building have valid Certificates of Fitness when the sec. 2-705 above violations have been corrected.
